Artist Information
Bringing the dirty south to the rainy Northwest, Books Unburned is a breath of fresh air in a hardcore scene that seems steeped in mediocrity. Their sound has been compared by many to bands like Every Time I Die, The Blood Brothers, and The Bronx. Books Unburned stives to bring something back to the hardcore scene that has been lost for some time: fun. Drawing on styles as diverse as spastic grindcore, southern rock, and classic country, Books Unburned creates a sound that is fun, fresh, and pure rock and roll. Lyrically, their songs deal with issues that range from environmental ethics to race relations, end-times theology, and gun-toting lowlifes. Their commitment to intelligent, melodic, fun rock and roll sets them apart from legions of other hardcore bands. Just one listen, and you'll agree that Books Unburned is doing something different, and they're doing it well.
